House 6 - The Best of Traditional and Contemporary Design

Starting at $549,000*

Harmonizing indoor and outdoor living, House 6 is a truly superlative urban home.  Taking the best from both traditional and contemporary design, House 6 includes the formal spaces and design touches of classic urban homes with the functionality, informality, abundant natural light, energy efficiency, and comfort of today.

The initial focus upon entry is the formal living room with monumental fireplace.  Move on through the open dining room bordered by the traditional open staircase leading up to the second floor and down to the garden level.  The ample chef’s kitchen is open to the family room, and contains a second dishwasher, food warmer, a 48” wide refrigerator and a walk-in pantry.  The family room contains a wet bar with wine cooler, a corner fireplace, and walk-out patio doors to the rear deck.

The wide rear deck is the first of up to four usable outdoor spaces in the home, the others being the second story deck off the master bedroom, and the two roof deck spaces adjacent to the roof top den.

The second floor contains two secondary bedrooms, a secondary full bath, two linen closets and the master suite.  The front secondary bedroom has a walk-in closet and can be configured as an ensuite or jack-and-jill with the second bath.

As you enter the master suite you begin in a short hall with the master bath on the left and the walk-in closet on the right, but your view will be pulled forward to the light coming in through the sliding doors off the second floor rear deck.  Options include a fireplace and the inclusion of the washer dryer within the suite (otherwise to be included in the common hall).  The master bath consists of a double bowl sink, whirlpool bath, generously sized stand-alone shower, and a separate water closet (toilet room).

The third floor contains a large, open space with sliding doors or windows on all sides.  This space will get excellent light and cross-ventilation and could be used as an office, solarium, yoga or meditation room, library, den, or as a loft bedroom.  The front sliding doors lead to a porch and the rear sliding doors open to a roof deck.  The roof deck can also be accessed via a spiral staircase that connects to the first and second floor decks.
