House 2 combines warm, eco-friendly materials, clean lines, a cathedral ceiling in the kitchen/dining area, and thoughtful storage systems to create a delightful, spacious indoor environment.
House 2 is highly versatile, offering several different floor plan possibilities. This home is designed with value in mind as it maximizes each square foot of living space with a thoughtfully developed floor plan.
House 2 is designed to meet the evolving needs of a family. The four-bedroom second floor can be converted to a three-bedroom plan with an open loft space (See the second floor of House 1 to view this option). House 1 can be made accessible for people of all abilities. The on-grade kitchen (and optional first floor bedroom) is designed to be accessible for disabled visitors, and the option of a future elevator is designed into the structure and floor plan of the house.
The split-level design between the kitchen/dining room and the living room provides a meaningful separation between these two functional areas while still maintaining a sense of continuity. This design also creates a dramatic cathedral ceiling in the kitchen/dining area. This separation can also be opened up if a more open floor plan is desired.
